Cast Spotlight: Myah Smith, Diane Stammel, Laura Synan & Kristen Shultz
MYAH SMITH (Nancy) is an eighth-grade student at Oneonta Middle School. She has participated in many Oneonta Drama Club productions. Most recently she was a featured dancer in Beauty and the Beast, and the assistant stage manager for Alice in Wonderland. She has also been in Orpheus Theatre productions for years as well as a member of the stage crew. In addition to theater, Myah has been dancing at Holbrook-Wade School of Dance for ten years. This is Myah’s first performance with Bigger Dreams Productions. She would like to thank the amazing and welcoming cast, along with her family for all the support throughout the practice and production of Love, Loss and What I Wore.
DIANE STAMMEL (Gingy’s Mother, Pam, Mary’s Mother) has been active in area theater groups since 1977. Most recently, she was Ellie in Office Hours, Ra’s Wife and three other roles in Exhibit This!, Claire in Rumors, and Mrs. Bradman in Blithe Spirit, all with the Catskill Community Players. She was last with Orpheus Theatre as M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias and Veta Louise in Harvey for Stuff of Dreams. Diane spent five seasons with the Templeton Players at the Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown, acting in several 19th Century plays and women’s rights vignettes. She lives in Stamford with her husband, Ed, and enjoys being with her family, reading, walking, and traveling.
LAURA SYNAN (Nancy’s Mother, Amanda) is thrilled to be a part of this incredible cast of women. This will be her second show with Bigger Dreams Productions, having been a part of The Vagina Monologues two years ago. Other previous shows include Annie, The Wizard of Oz, Matilda, Elf, Oliver! and The Music Man.
KRISTEN SHULTZ (Patty Hearst Madonna, Eve) began performing in local theater in 1996 in the Orpheus production of Annie Get Your Gun. Some highlights with Orpheus Theatre include, Gigi, Hairspray (Matron), Little Shop of Horrors, The Sound of Music, CATS, and most recently Damn Yankees (Sister Miller). Other credits include The Female Odd Couple (Sylvie) and The Laramie Project where she played multiple roles (Reggie Fluty, Sherry Johnson, Eileen Engen). Kristen has enjoyed playing roles in both Bigger Boat and Stuff of Dreams productions including Last of The Red Hot Lovers (Jeanette Fisher), Don’t Drink The Water (Marion Hollander), and God of Carnage (Annette Raleigh). She was last seen on stage in Bigger Dreams production of The Vagina Monologues. Film credits include The Automatic Hate and Salty Corn, and television credits include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
