Cast Spotlight: Courtney Murphy

Courtney Murphy (Theodora) is thrilled to be back on stage with Bigger Dreams Productions! Previously she appeared as Susan in Don’t Drink the Water and could be found backstage as Assistant Stage Manager and Stage Manager for Never Too Late and On Golden Pond respectively. Other performance credits include Shelby in Steel Magnolias and ensemble roles in Jesus Christ Superstar!, Wizard of Oz, and Grease, all with Orpheus Theatre. Additionally, she was Stage Manager for Next to Normal and Spring Awakening also with Orpheus. She is particularly excited to appear in The Haunting of Hill House because of her history with this tale; she wrote her senior English thesis for her bachelor’s degree on Shirley Jackson’s novel that this play is based on! Courtney is a contract manager for the NYS Office of Mental Health by day and an axe throwing coach by night.
