Cast Spotlight: Carol S. Dean
Carol S. Dean (Mrs. Dudley) Carol’s most recent theatrical performance was in the virtual production of Co-op(erative) for the Glimmer Globe Theatre’s 2021 NEXT! Staged reading series. She is thrilled to be back on stage in person as the charming Mrs. Dudley. Carol has played a wide variety of roles in local community theaters over the past 30+ years. With Stuff of Dreams, she appeared in On Golden Pond and Love Letters opposite Gary Stevens. She has also been active with Catskill Community Players, playing Ruth in Blythe Spirits, Lady Somerset in Bloody Murder, and Rhonda, the snowmobiler, in Almost, Maine. Her musical theatre credits range from the classic Desiree Armfeldt in A Little Night Music to the outlandish “Miss Baltimore Crabs” in Hairspray. Carol is a retired SUNY-Oneonta professor where she had the great pleasure of preparing students to become foreign language teachers, which also afforded her many opportunities to travel and build partnerships with schools abroad.
